An Intimate Garden Wedding - Four Seasons Hampshire Wedding

With all of the uncertainty surrounding weddings and what can and cannot happen with them towards the end of 2020, I wanted to spread love and share some positivity in the form of a beautiful intimate wedding set in the gardens of the stunning Four Seasons Hampshire that took place during the summer.

With all of the negativity in the press recently and confusion surrounding what can and cannot happen with weddings and events in the next few months, we wanted to put together a romantic intimate wedding shoot featuring the most gorgeous couple showing just how beautiful an intimate wedding of 30 guests can be and why it might just be the perfect option for you.

For this shoot, we chose the gorgeous backdrop that is Four Seasons Hampshire. A luxury manor house hotel situated in 500 acres of the beautiful Hampshire countryside. I wanted to use a couple in a real situation in their own clothes and doing their own hair and make-up. Not only was this to ensure everybody could stay at a safe distance, but to me, it just made the whole day feel more romantic.

Being in such a beautiful country house venue, I wanted the wedding theme to follow suit. We kept the flowers very loose and whimsical in beautiful white and ivory colors with pops of “something blue” coming through in the glassware and crockery. Being the perfect season, we took advantage and used the gorgeous peonies for each place setting along with the forget-me-nots to symbolize the remembrance of good memories and true love. Detail is very important to me, especially when it came to showing the story of the wedding, from the welcome gifts in the rooms, through to the reserved signs at the ceremony and the gorgeous choice of flowers which most of were grown in the gorgeous English countryside, which made it all a little more special.

Real couple Kerry & Leon agreed to model for us and they were a dream to work with! Their wedding in France was meant to take place this year, but as with many couples due to be married this year, their wedding was postponed to 2021. “We thought it was a unique opportunity to get some much needed posing practice and to have a fun day out after so long in quarantine. We also loved the idea of building a rapport with our wonderful wedding photographer Anneli Marinovich ahead of the big day” Kerry & Leon on why they decided to take part in the shoot.

Note

"With the current global pandemic and uncertainty surrounding future wedding celebrations, the idea behind this stylized shoot was to demonstrate how couples can still keep the romance alive and celebrate love with an intimate summer wedding. Rather than models, a real couple was used, wearing their own wardrobe and styling their own hair and makeup. Not only did this allow the team of vendors to ensure safety standards and social distancing, but it added a layer of authenticity and real-life romance to the photo shoot. With Four Seasons Hampshire as the backdrop, the final images reflected some beautifully whimsical inspiration for summery garden weddings in the future."
