Lavender
in Love
at Hedsor
House

A love of lavender & the arrival of spring inspired this editorial. Our intimate Hedsor House wedding story was created to inspire couples planning their weddings as lockdown lifts & weddings return this summer.

Creating a styled shoot is more than just throwing some designs together and calling suppliers to be involved, it’s curating a wedding design to inspire brides & grooms-to-be when planning their own wedding.

I’d put this design together months before even considering a styled shoot. I have a file of “dream wedding designs”, that I would love to create and this was top of my list.

My inspiration came from my love of lavender and wisteria in my own garden and the happiness surrounding spring colours which is becoming all the more important as we’re lifted out of lockdown and wedding season begins.

First on my list was finding a venue that would work. It had to be a country venue with beautiful grounds and also a gorgeous indoor space. Hedsor House was top of my list, so I planned a design to work around this venue and began mood boarding. It just do happens that the wisteria growing up the front of the house made this a little more perfect.

As the wedding design developed, I added touches of apricot to add depth to the design and to inspire couples to be adventurous with colour choices. Apricot and lavender aren’t two colours you would often pair, but in the boudoir at Hedsor House, the colours were perfect!

I was keen to add small personal touches including lavender cocktails, a beautiful lavender gift box and luxury stationery to complete the story.
