My client decided that she wanted to celebrate her 50th birthday in style with an intimate birthday celebration at home with her closest friends.

My client got in contact early last year to discuss her upcoming birthday celebration. November marked a milestone birthday and as they were in their new home and COVID restrictions were opening up, decided to celebrate in style.

We discussed options, but it was clear the celebration was going to take place in the dining room of their new home in Buckinghamshire. A beautiful wood panelled room split into two, with grand fireplaces and windows looking out onto their beautiful gardens.

When considering design, Dina was clear, it had to be warm, intimate, wintery yet fresh and simple. With this in mind, I put together a quick mood board to ensure we were in the same place with design and we didn’t have to tweak a thing. I kept the design simple with dark green linen to complement the garden views with a mirrored table top to create a chic but simple base. We added gold touches for warmth, but kept the flowers white and green, wintery and fresh and finished the design with hundreds of candles. This gave us Dina’s dream intimate birthday celebration.

Suppliers were an easy choice and I knew Paula Rooney could fulfil the brief perfectly. It was so perfect, it was even recently featured on Channel 4’s Billionaire Blooms which was aired on 29th December at 7pm. You can catch it now on All4.
